Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF) - 1 Day (6hrs)

This course is ideal for anyone wishing to become an emergency first aider. This provides learners with skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in low-risk workplace environments for the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982 purposes.

As this is a regulated qualification, an employer who obtains training from an AoFAQ™-approved centre is not required to carry out any due diligence on the training provider in order to ensure the suitability of the training (HSE statement).

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF) - 3 Days (18hrs)

This regulated qualification is ideal for anyone wishing to become a first aider. It covers a wider range of subjects than that covered by the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification. It provides learners with the skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in higher risk workplaces or workplaces with an increased number of employees. Produced in aid of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982 purposes. 

As this is a regulated qualification, an employer who obtains training from an AoFAQ-approved centre is not required to carry out any due diligence on the training provider in order to ensure the suitability of the training (HSE statement).

Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (QCF) - 1 or 2 Days (6hrs / 12hrs)

This course is designed for anyone wanting to become qualified in administering first aid to children and infants. For the purposes of child carers within England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, this qualification partly fulfils the legal obligations under the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage issued by the Department for Education and Skills. 

This course is ideal for anyone who works with, or comes into contact with, infants and children in their working or voluntary roles. This course is also ideal for parents and families with young children. Please note: if a learner is required to fulfil the full first aid requirements as set out by the EYFS, then the learner will be required to complete the Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid course (2 days).

Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (QCF) - 2 Days (12hrs)

The AoFAQ Level 3 award in Paediatric First Aid is an accredited qualification and provides first aid training specific to infants aged under 1, and children aged from 1-year-old to the onset of puberty. It fulfils the requirements of the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as issued by the department for Education and Skills Foundation Stage relating to Early Years childcare.

This course is ideal for anyone who works with, or comes into contact with, infants and children in their working or voluntary roles. This course is also ideal for parents and families with young children.

Level 2 National Award in the Principles of Fire Safety and the Role of the Fire Marshall (Practical) - (6hrs)

This qualification is designed to provide the underpinning knowledge for learners to operate safely in the workplace with regards to fire safety.

The course provides employers with a programme that assists them in proving due diligence and demonstrates their legal commitment to staff training as required by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

The course is aimed at staff that have been recently appointed or intend to be appointed as a fire marshal/warden in the workplace.

Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation (QCF) - (6hrs)

This qualification is recommended as training for first aiders in the workplace environment who have access to a defibrillator. 

The topics covered are regarded by Skills for Health as being important to maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt, and effective administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation.

Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis - (3hrs)

The AoFAQ Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of anaphylaxis qualification has been designed to provide the knowledge and skills to manage casualties with anaphylaxis.

Anaphylaxis is a potentially life threatening condition and prompt action in its recognition and management is essential to preserve life.
This course provides the underpinning knowledge and appropriate skills to manage casualties and ultimately if required to perform effective basic life support until emergency assistance can arrive.

The qualification is valid for 3 years and is supported by Skills for Health.

Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid - (Min 16hrs)

The AoFAQ Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid (QCF) is a training course designed for those who are involved in the outdoor and activity-based environments that require a first aid qualification in addition to providing the knowledge and skills to operate in these different and often challenging environments. 

The syllabus is comprehensive and covers diverse content, such as heat illnesses, hypothermia, chest injuries, spinal injuries, head injuries, and burns etc. which is targeted towards the activity and outdoor sector and is based upon the potential risks of operating in these environments.
The teaching time is a minimum of 16 hours and together with the syllabus meets a majority of National Governing Bodies requirements for first aid qualifications.

The qualification is valid for 3 years and is supported by Skills for Health. (QCF).

Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (QCF) - (5hrs)

This qualification is recommended as training for first aiders in the workplace environment who have access to a defibrillator.
